While most people love the warmer weather, heat wave can actually pose a health risk to vulnerable members of society. Among those people who are at greatest risks during extreme temperatures are seniors, infants and people with chronic illnesses. To help you beat the heat without an air conditioning unit, here are some tips for you.

–          Go to air-conditioned places such as public libraries, shopping malls and local community centers.

–          Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

–          Take a cool bath or shower if you are stuck inside your house.

–          Try to avoid the sun as much as possible.
