AC Unit Can Make You Sick if Not Properly Inspected

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are several health risks air conditioning units can cause if they are not inspected properly. For one, they can become a breathing ground for the growth of bacteria and fungus. Moisture can accumulate in fan blades and coils and things like fungus and mold can eventually build up and get blown out into the air.

To make sure that your air conditioning unit continues to keep you cool during warmer months, you should change the air filter regularly. Check the exhaust fans and never store paint cleaners near your AC unit.
