Check your AC System Before Warm Weather Arrives
When warm weather arrives, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC) play the most important role in your home. However, your air conditioning must be ready before the weather heats up to keep you comfortable for the season.
You should know if it’s time to maintain, repair or replace your air conditioning system. Below are some preventive tasks to take that can extend the life of air conditioning equipment:
- Change air filters every three months or at the beginning of every heating and cooling season.
- Keep the outdoor unit clean.
- Let air flow to reduce moisture buildup which can lead to mold.
- Clean duct grills.
- Keep the drain line clean and the drain tube open and clear to prevent backup.
