How to Prepare Your Home for Winter

Every homeowner should know that as the season changes, our homes should also undergo certain adjustments in order to make it more suited and well-equipped for the weather. Preparing your home for winter is easy with the following tips:
  • Schedule a routine maintenance with a licensed technician before the cold season begins.
  • Store the air conditioning unit in a clean, dry place after its end-of-season maintenance.
  • Check the weather stripping around the doors and windows.
  • It’s natural for the unit to produce a strong smell upon turning it on for the first time during the season. However, if the condition goes on for more than thirty minutes, you may need to consult the experts.
