How to Safely Survive the Cold Weather

Indeed, January of 2014 has been rather disappointing in terms of weather conditions. Numerous residents are battling extreme weather temperatures, storms, and strong winds. Unfortunately, there is a higher possibility that this freezing weather is yet to pass.

In line with this, several government and non-government organizations have come up with ideas to assist the public on safely surviving the extreme cold weather.

– Have a complete once-over on your car. This makes sure that seat belts are tight and the car’s hoses are not leaking.

– Keep a bag packed with winter essentials – fully charged phone, kitty litter, flashlight, water, blanket, easy-to-eat snacks, shovel, and first aid kit.

– Residents should stay home as much as possible. Layered clothes should also be worn especially when outdoors. Additionally, drive and walk slowly to keep safe.
