Inexpensive Tips to Keep the House Warm During Winter Season

Aside from the rising prices of gas and electricity, homeowners are expecting their bills to increase this winter. But there’s still hope, according to the experts. Homeowners can still do simple things to help them lower their bills while keep them warm in the colder days ahead. Here’s how:

– Broken windows and doors will definitely help in causing your bills to skyrocket. Avoid this by caulking around and inside your windows and doors. Make sure that for every new caulk, you remove the old one first before application.

– In order to keep moisture from getting inside the house, make sure to paint your exterior every few years. This prevents moisture from entering the house and making your heaters work more than average.

– Programmable thermostats will help you save more on electricity bills by letting you adjust temperatures at specific times. The automatic shutdown function will turn off your HVAC systems according to a time you specify.
