Severe Weather Still Affecting Some Areas in Europe
Severe weather is still affecting many parts of Europe. Due to the occurrence of extreme weather, there have been hundreds of flights that were either delayed or canceled. In fact, Frankfurt airport has just been re-opened after it was disrupted by heavy snowfall.
The high speed train link that serves to link Paris, London, and Brussels, the Eurostar, has been one of the major victims of the severe weather. In Brussels, the airport has announced that it is reducing its services.
There are parts of the South of England that have been snowed under and in Sussex County, there were 300 road traffic accidents that needed police assistance. Another example is the Channel Islands, which has usually been considered immune from severe weather, has just been struck by its worst condition in years.
