Year-round HVAC Maintenance Pointers

Proper HVAC maintenance should be performed all-year-round to keep the system in good working condition and at top efficiency. The following are some tasks that you should never skip for every season:
  • Spring — change the air filters, clean the coils, and trim branches and plants surrounding the unit.
  • Summer — turn the unit on and off properly, check the vents for cool vents, and check condensate-removal system.
  • Fall — switch off the A/C breaker, check the humidifier pad, and change the air filters.
  • Winter — check for ice or snow around  the unit, wipe debris and dirt off the unit, and don’t cover the unit with material that may lock moisture in.
