DMV Had to Halt Operations Due to AC Malfunction

As summer officially kicks in, Las Vegas temperatures continue to rise, necessitating more than ever the use of air conditioners in homes and establishments alike. Unfortunately for the Department of Motor Vehicles on West Flamingo, their trusted AC has chosen this particular time to malfunction.
The DMV had two air conditioning units and one of them went out, making employees decide to halt operations as the searing heat made conditions inside unbearable. Outdoor temperatures were 111 degrees while it was reaching 100 degrees indoors.
“If the air conditioning isn’t operating, we’ll see how the day goes, but we’re hoping to have something in place to cool down the building until permanent repairs can be made,” said Malone.
The closing of the DMV left people frustrated as many of them were already waiting for quite a while when they made the decision.
