Flooding in Europe Raises Climate Change Concern

The recent flooding experienced in Germany, where the Danube river is located, has raised some concerns about climate change today. The flooding in the area, which rarely happens, has alarmed a lot of people thinking that this might be the start of a new trend.

In some parts of Germany, the floodwaters have reached over 40 feet, which is a record now. The past record was set in the 16th century when it also reached the 40 feet marked. Scientists are predicting that it is a sign of things to come in the future.

Here is an excert from an article that appeared on eenews.net: “Extreme weather of the kind ravaging the Danube and Elbe rivers in Central Europe is expected to become more frequent. And while experts note that individual events can’t be attributed to climate change, they say Europe needs to start preparing for even worse floods.”

Cities must start preparing for more flooding in the future. You can read the full article here.
