How to Provide Better Care for Your HVAC System

Getting to know your heating-and-cooling system can give you an improved perspective of its maintenance needs. It can also help you prevent breakdowns, and equip you with the right knowledge on dealing with them efficiently in the events that they do take place.
  • Before calling for professional assistance when encountering problems with your HVAC system, make sure you first check all the rooms in your home and determine in which ones the problems persist.
  • Make sure you are able to describe the problem to the service provider in detail over the phone so he or she would have a better idea of how to deal with it.
  • Make sure that the condenser fans are working properly by keeping the fans and the coils clean, protecting the outdoor unit from damaging elements, and through annual lubrication (for a fan condenser with oil ports).
