Taking Care of a Noisy AC Problem

Sometimes air conditioners are working as they should by keeping you comfortably cool, however, certain things could go slightly off like a noise that could keep you up all night despite of how ideal your indoor temperature is. Usually the issue may be with your unit’s condenser. In that case you can try to take care of the problem yourself.

“Fencing one or all sides of an air conditioner’s outside unit can deflect noise,” says an article on The Family Handyman. “For the best sound reduction, overlap fence boards instead of leaving gaps between them. Aside from a fence, there are a few other approaches you should consider”
Some of these considerations include the age of your condenser and adding a compressor sound blanket for your unit to muffle the sound. It’s a must to remember to turn off all power to the unit before taking any measures.
