Tips on Heating and Furnace Maintenance for Tenants

Set the thermostat level at around 68 degrees — this is the ideal range to keep the utility bills affordable while protecting faucets against freezing.
It is advisable to keep the furnace on at a low level (~60 degrees) even when you won’t be home.
Keep doors and windows properly sealed.
